Juniors

The core age range of Juniors is from 8 – 11 years

The programme

This age group has its own programme based on six areas, Get Active, Get Into the Bible, Get Creative, Get Learning, Get Adventurous and Get Involved. The programme provides challenges, adventure and opportunities to learn and grow. The fun and engaging programme enables the children to work in a team and take more responsibility. Juniors also get the opportunity to go on camps and residential trips, and for some this will be their first night from home. Throughout their time in the Junior Section, children can gain badges and recognition for their participation in the programme

The Uniform

Children in the Junior Section wear a core uniform of a blue polo shirt and royal blue sweatshirt. On some occasions members will wear school trousers and footwear as part of the uniform, but check with your local group.

Safe & Caring

All our adult volunteers undertake a disclosure ( criminal records ) check as part of their registration with The Boys’ Brigade, and are trained to provide a safe and caring environment for all children.

What it costs

Most groups charge a subscription. At 1st Witney we have a £10 joining fee and subs is £2.50 per week and uniform costs around £25. This said, we don’t want any child to miss out because of cost, so if you have any concerns about finance please speak to a Leader in the local group in confidence about this.

When do they meet?

The Junior Section at the 1st Witney meets on Thursday evening between 6.30pm – 7.45pm.
