Remembrance Parade

As usual the Company took part in Witney’s Civic Remembrance Parade on Sunday 10th November with all the other youth organisations.

Our Seniors on Parade

For our Christmas trip this year we took the Juniors and Seniors to the Blenheim Palace Christmas light trail. All enjoyed a magical walk around the grounds.

Has part of the Seniors staged DIY badge they made 4 candles out of wood with the headings – Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. By luck this was the theme for our churches Christmas carol service and so they took centre stage.

We have just purchased a projector to help us teach the badge scheme award programme to the young people. This was made possible by a grant from the Witney branch of the Lions club through their Dream Scheme.

Over December the BB in Oxfordshire held their Juniors Colouring Competition. Out of the 30 entries received Judah from Witney came out as the winner with his painting of the camp scene. Thanks goes to Polly Inness and Annie Hathaway from Witney Town Council who judged the competition.

On Saturday 8th February the juniors took part in the Oxfordshire Battalion Ten Pin Bowling competition in Banbury. Congratulation to our team of Harvey, Theo and Judah who came out on top with a winning score of 208points.

A Big thanks to Witney Town Council for their recent £50 for Fifty grant celebrating their 50th anniversary. This as enabled us to purchase a Galaxy Tab to use with our projector giving the members a more interactive experience with the award scheme.
